It wasn't to say at all that by playing twenty games, I expected to improve. It was more that I've spent that much time on chess recently and I'm still not having success.

I don't understand.

You agree that it can take time to improve, but as you recently (one week/one month) got more serious, you expect to be rewarded right now ?

What I understand of that is equivalent to "I know the town is far away, but as I just accelerated to a higher speed, it should be close now".

I checked the pieces I was moving to see if I was moving them to safe squares or not. I didn't notice other pieces that hung.

Don't play when you are tired. Just lost ~45 ELO by doing the worst of mistakes.

Especially bad that one game where I was up a Bishop and like 3 or 4 pawns.

Lost the bishop due to a pincer because of being not wary where to go whith the king when in check.

Shortly after lost the whole game due to a checkmate because of being not wary where to go with the king when in check.

Such terrible blunders!

Thanks...I'll keep that in mind...
