in bullet I just sort of play moves and the tactics just pop out in my brain, but puzzle rush helps I suppose

I think it's down to practice. Play at a time control where you feel that you're able to complete your calculations. When you're comfortable, lower the the time limit and repeat, until you achieve your desired calculation speed.
I always calculate in longer time controls

It requires practice, I wasn't able to calculate more than 3 moves but now I can calculate much more, tho im on a big tilt as u can see my status
