Take a break from chess. Exercise every day. You should pick some muscles up and you will have achieved your goal. Laughing

I just went through several chapters of Drink Like a Grandmaster last night; what a great book.

PS: Not showering for a couple of weeks will make you a stronger chess player, too.

What if you can't take a break from chess? You could do isometric exercises while playing, that would have the added advantage, perhaps, of putting the other player off. Some top players leave their chair and walk around, that's some aerobic exercise. If you add swiss army exercises to the walk you could get stronger... do star jumps during a mating attack...

try silman book "how to resseases your drunkenness"

also de la villa's book "100 beers you must know"

For openings my advice is "the drunkfeld defense move by move"

Well actually it's shown that better physical fitness does increase chess playing ability to a degree, so yes.
