I can’t help with the rating increase, but I can help with your tilting issue.
I haven’t had tilt issues in chess, but I did a few years ago in other games. What I did to help it was to take a break for 15 min (or stop playing completely) after I lost 2 games in a row. I would try this out as it helped me in the past. It gives you time to cool down and prevents you from tilting and losing 10 games in a row.
Over the past year and 9 months, I went from a beginner to a peak rating of 2023, but I have plateaued over the past couple months. Any advice on how to break the plateau? I have started to take tactics more seriously, along with opening studies, but neither seems to truly be helping. My main problem seems to be tilt, as in I win 5 games in a row, lose one on time or due to distractions, or just a simple blunder, and proceed to lose 5 in a row.
