most of them that I know of are youth titles, or regional titles from australia, for example
on finding title awarding OTB chess tournaments

So , only until relatively recently have i discovered the fact that some of the lower titles like FM can actually be won by winning certain Regional(?) championships. (although apparently they are establishing some min rating floor requirements to them as well, -200 from the expectation )
This seems to be an outside the U.S thing, and honestly im a bit confused how one finds fide rated events outside the U.S as is, So i will ask here. How do you find these title granting championships?

Most of the chess tournaments you are talking about are primarily youth events. Since you appear to be U.S. based, I will give you a quick list of every event you can participate in to win titles. You can find this year's edition for each event with a quick google search.
These are events you are unable to participate in (age restrictions):
Pan-American Youth Chess Festival
North American Youth Chess Championships
North American Junior Chess Championship
Pan-American Junior Chess Championship
World Youth Chess Championships
World Senior Chess Championships
These are events you can participate in to potentially win titles:
Pan-American Amateur Chess Championships
World Amateur Chess Championships
Absolute Chess Championship of the Americas (extremely hard to win a title in this one)
Please let me know if you found this post helpful .
