Just a brief question, but is their anyway I could chat during online chess, so I could maybe sometimes ask my opponent for help?

Yes, you can chat unless your opponent has chat disabled or turns it off during the game. How you do it depends on how you access the site. Are you on the app or the website?

I know I could chat on live chess, but for correspondance? It doesn't work that way, right?

No, but im a starter, and sometimes its a good thing to ask y ur opponent just dropped a sacrafise that failed.
