I dont know the details, but the ratings on chess.com and lichess.com are all over the place, because they change after every game.

For example Hikaru sometimes simply farms points. He looks for people that he can easily defeat, then keeps playing against them, until the other party gives up. Thus archieving records.

This is possible because ratings arent absolute. For example 100 points of Fide Elo difference is supposed to represent you get 66% of the points. That can mean you win half of the games and draw the other, but it can also mean you win two out of three games, but lose the third, or anything in between. However thats only on average. Any concrete person rated 100 points below you can have far less or far higher success rates against you than to be expected from this difference.

A very simple example for that is overly optimistic players. They may have far better success rates against lesser players, but against stronger players they lose even more.

At one point Hikaru had 3400 blitz rating. Good luck ever getting to 3400 Fide Elo. Unless you're a chess engine, it aint gonna happen.

Thus these ratings are not actually compareable to Fide Elo, which is far more static. Fide Elo only takes into account Fide rated tournaments, which happen far less often.

Both sites obviously try to keep their ratings roughly in the same area as Fide Elo, plus minus a couple hundred points. So in that regard they are somewhat compareable with each other and Fide Elo.
