How to cross 2000 blitz?

Every time I play it just seems like I blunder something trivial or lose on time. How the hell do i even cross the 2000 blitz rating mark?

These ratings are not quite accurate from my perspective

Yeah, I was talking about only chess.com blitz ratings, specifically in the 5+0 pool.

SeanTheSheep021

my rating is 900, and I use my full power every time. But I once lost against a 300 and also once won a 2800… how???

these ratings are not accurate

I reached 2000 yesterday, and my only advice to you would be: play, play, and play! Experience is the key to success in everything. If you feel like you can't improve, it means you need to try something different. For example, watching Hikaru's speedrun videos is very helpful for those who want to become better chess players.

Wishing you all the best in blitz chess!

Either the 2800 miss picked or hung a mate in one (or is a cheater )

I'm struck between 1000 - 1100 ELO in blitz how can I improve it? I don't much about the opening but I play it well not too bad .. If my opponent plays strange moves I blunder most of the time thinking Why they would have played such a strange move? and get confused then things get messed up .. how to improve without Purchasing the Diamond membership

HangingPiecesChomper

chomp on hanging pieces

Actual advice? Like actionable things you can do. "Learn positional play" is not actionable nor practical to improve at blitz.

Somehow this makes sense in blitz but you can't force your opponent to hang pieces and also you don't wanna be the one to hang pieces. But again, how?!

The only thing to remember to get a higher rating in blitz is that "Blitz is tactics." You won't become a better blitz player[and frankly a better chess player for U2000] by studying positional masterpieces of Petrosian or Kramnik or Karpov, but by internalizing the tactical patterns[NOT Calculation skill, but tactical patterns]. You can achieve this by solving a lot of simple puzzles as a warmup before your games.

I did this exercise multiple times to go on win streaks via my opponent's blunders. Since you're 1000, I assume you know what the ~56 basic tactical patterns are. To drive this point home, let's take your latest blitz game[move 18] for example.

Here, you played Ne2, blundering a basic tactic. However, if I gave you this position as a puzzle from black's side after Ne2, you'll immediately spot the Bxb2-Nxd3 fork. But if you internalized these basic patterns, you wouldn't have blundered that tactic.

TL;DR: Blitz is tactics. Grind simple, easy tactics puzzles until you internalize those patterns, especially before a game. Solving hard, complicated, advanced puzzles will be a waste of time if you blunder basic tactics. [Also, your opponent played too well in your latest game for a 1000 rated player. He knew an advanced plan against a rare opening system and spent an approximately equal amt of time on every move, and he made virtually no mistakes. I don't mean to be that grand master, but doesn't this suggest something?]

Use solid, simple-to-learn openings like the London System, Italian Game, or Caro-Kann that require less memorization and focus on ideas.

Accurate problems for a 1700-1900

A couple things that helped me were 1.bullet sped (or not)

2.endgame endurance and swindle practice(you need to kind of force or "convince your opponents to blunder " or at least make the position difficult)

3.positional play and hanging pieces less(or at least at a higher level you never really stop hanging pieces ) 1800s are horrible at positional play

But idk what your individual problems are I haven't looked at our games yet but you should be using most of your time anyway

As it turns out, I already know your website and have your training plan. But I thought it might be more suitable for rapid and blitz has different training methods.
