When losing a game of chess, one is forced to accept the fact that he is less intelligent and has a lower self-worth than his opponent.  How do others deal with the fact that losing in chess (or any competition) is absolutely unacceptable?

        You don't have to accept any such thing.

Drinking a pint or two of human blood usually settles me right down after losing.

No he isn't - there was only one Casablanca. And if he's turning in his grave for anyone, it's being compared to the comparatively inaccurate Carlsen

"comparatively inaccurate Carlsen"

Hey watch it, now  yer making me spin in my grave.

* Post Edit:

Wow, Carlsen not used in the camparison but my spinning has slowed down considerably...

Losing only means there is a hole in your game. So now you know what to work on. And you keep going until you get rid of as many "holes" in your game as you possibly can. It is an on-going process. That is all that it is and no need to make it more than what it really is.

Maybe I'll just quit playing chess then.  There's no point continuing and losing every match so badly.
