The past month I have been attempting to improve my chess and try to get serious about improving. My main problem I find is, besides the non concentration blunder, I miss good tactics all the time. I have been doing tactical puzzles every day and trying to watch some GM games but just want some advice on my best way to speed up my improvement? Im 23 but would love to get competitive at a 1500 level by early next year. Is that a good goal and what is my best way to try and attain it? Also only playing rapid 30mins since actually trying to learn so wouldnt take my blitz or other ratings seriously.
