I personally treat chess like a math puzzle. I may have 350~ elo on my account but I have been getting progressively better over the past 15 days or so, so I'd confidently say to just think like it is insanely complex and apply that to your games.

At 2000, it is time to study positional play. Check out game collections from the great masters. Analyze your games in depth. Start playing OTB chess at classical time controls.
Sure, you can get a higher rating by playing for speed chess tricks. But it is better to play real chess and actually improve the wuality of your play.
Id say it's just a grind bro their doesn't really appear to be a magic formula, study, grind tactics ,puzzles and get a coach and then you'll get results it'll just be slow depending on your age
