I was wondering what is the easiest title to get in chess, and how I might do it. For reference, I am around 1300, but am slowly climbing towards 2000.
If your flag is correct then NM is probably the easiest but isn't really easy.

hehehehe oh god I laughed for real, no offence but when you are around 1300, you wouldn't say you climb towards 2000..
it's 1400.. then 1500 maybe 1600 and you will stop, take some rest.. will try.. will go back and forth..
dont jump to conlusions, do you have what it takes? think about titles later.
Would NM or CM be easier to achieve through OTB play?
Unless you're in a major city in the US that has a very active Chess scene with FIDE rated tournaments, NM is going to be the easier title from an event access standpoint

You have to play OTB tournaments and get at least a 2000 FIDE Rating from them. You also need to earn norms for certain titles you can get specific tournaments after you hit 2000.
