I started playing chess to learn the basics of the game. I'm planning to work a piece of fiction featuring chess. My plan is to be able to get in the mindset of chess masters. Eventually i'll need the help of an expert, but in the meantime i need to improve my own understanding of the game to a minimum level.
How do you guys recommend i acomplish that? is it possible to get there by playing and reading? which books would you recommend for self-taught process?
Thanks!
After more than 1000 games, you have probably already attained a minimal understanding level. Your current ratings have improved from their low points.
There's a new set of lessons in Spanish. Why not give them a try?
Watching the streamers here like Hikaru or the Chessbrahs is a good way to get insight into the minds of masters. The live broadcasts from tournaments also offer a lot but take more patience.
