OH MY GOD, I JUST REALIZED I SAID "Brilliant blunder". THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT 😩

I think all my brilliant moves were exactly that: brilliant blunders wink

Ha! I'd say it's when you butcher a brilliant move

Yes, A brilliant is like a great sacrifice that leads to checkmate or gaining more material as @TheEcoCollecter1 said

If you play an amazing sacrifice, it will be considered a brilliant move.

"Amazing" sacrifice? Is this supposed to be a joke?

شما حرکت درخشان را بدیگران نشان بده .بعد اگر توضیح داشت با زبان فضایی بنویسید .آیا حرکت درخشان بی اثر می‌شود؟ یا تفاوت ندارد

Hello.- Friends, pay attention to the brilliant movement, not the author's language. Do you agree?

A brilliant is just a really tactical sacrifice

Hey there! Agree, but it's easier if we all speak the same language, as this post is obviously in English. I have no problem doing the effort of going to google translate to be able to understand and reply to you, but that's a hassle, even if only a small one... I can understand that one might not want/ like that the site and most blogs posts are in English, it is not my mother tongue either, but hey, that's the way it is...

There also are loads of blogs and posts and content in other languages...

All I am saying, is that posting in another language here is not helping if nobody (or not many) people understand or make the effort of doing what it takes to understand, especially if you don't post a link to a game or a screenshot of a position/ brilliant move. That being said, you do whatever you want, and enjoy the discussion.

I hope my two pence here do not offend you (or anyone) in any manner.

Take care, and good games!

Honestly, brilliant moves are so rare not because people don’t see them but because you rarely get the opportunity to play one, and also, I don’t think that sacrificing a piece for checkmate is brilliant unless it’s really smart and tactical. (I could be wrong tho)

I also think it has to be almost immediately rewarding, and depending on the chess.com analysis engine to have the capacity to assess it... I don't know how deep it goes, but if the sacrifice allows you to get, say the opponent's queen four moves later, I am not sure the engine will see it... So I think it has to be rewarding the next move, or the move after... I might be wrong, I just think that sometimes the analysis bot is not very clever...
