To get faster for example if you first start playing 10 minute games you should be able to gradually decrease the game time to a minute. It might take a while but it is a way.

Hi, before getting faster, how about trying to boost your slower ratings?
If you were learning how to read, you'd first want to make sure you were reading accurately. Only then is it good to speed up. Same thing with typing and many other things, chess included.

Yeah, you can only build speed after you have learned to play well otherwise you will only play worse.
