How to get matches faster in 15|10? It’s so slowwww

Play 10 minutes games

mrfreezyiceboy

change your rating settings to -infinity to +infinity

Ping one of us in the club to play...we know each other, so that should help.

I find there aren't many 15/10 requests posted, so I don't look very often myself.

If no one with compatible seek settings is looking the same time you are, then you'll have to wait. Really the only way to decrease the time is to expand your rating ranges, which may not help. Or find a club that likes the time control and play some arenas.

play unrated so you can include the 1900s and then you won't care about the result, just increase getting the opportunity to play slower controls

yes, indeed this is a better method we have a lot of players ( including myself) which would be more than happy to play with you.

Getting a 15+10 game is a pain. I stopped playing them for the same reason. The 10-minute ones are accepted quickly but that time control is the worst -.- take Kevin's advice better. We can play too. I don't think we've ever played.

A potential side benefit to asking someone in the club is that you can decide if there is a specific opening you want to play, you can chat for a few seconds or minutes, and then play.

Alternative 1 for chatting: Do the chat in Live Chess

Alternative 2 for chatting: We spend more time and create an STL Club 15/10 club forum, say you'd like to play opening X (you could even give moves if it's a specific line), tell people when you'd like to play, and go at it.

I assume most of us are willing to play each other or we wouldn't participate in the tournaments wink.png

First of all, a point of notice that bares mentioning:
Chess.com has cordoned off a section of its site to "bad sports". Bad sports take longer to find games. Bad sports are given such a title based on their behaviour during games or whether or not they have violated the fair use police. If you are finding it hard to join games 99% of the time it's because of one of these.

If not, you may have a slow internet.

What you say is correct, but in the case of swiss or any +2000 the problem is that at those levels there are few who play "slow" games. Strong players prefer blitz or bullet because there is less chance of running into cheaters. And 15+10 is no longer a default time control. That's why getting a matchup like this takes time if you're +2000. With 10 min by the other hand, is pretty fast.
