Hi happy Christmas!
Recently I've started learning chess instead of haphazardly moving pieces around, and am looking forward to really improving my rating next year.
I am in the UK. I wondered what the lowest type of 'official rating' is you can get? So for instance I want to get an official rating as an amateur and work on that is that possible?
If I've never played live chess before, where would I start , to do that in the UK?
Can someone give me some tips? Thanks
