How to give a coach access to my son's chess.com progress

Hi - we've been using Chesskid for my son - his coach gets report cards on puzzles, sees his games, etc.  He has now been doing more chess.com, as his rating on chesskid (1100) is leaving fewer and fewer kids to play with.

Is there a way to engage with a coach on chess.com in the same way?  I don't see any functionality to add a coach / guardian to an account.

Thank you!

Lorgen

As chess.com isn't particularly meant for young kids it doesn't have those features. Give the coach the account name and he will be able to view the games whenever he likes.

However, If the chess coach is a member of chess.com all he has to do is go to your son's profile and he'll have access to all of his games so he can review them, and his stats - including chess mentor and tactics trainer results

But you'll want to turn off his chat in the live server, and probably forbid him from posting in these forums.. And set his account to block anyone from posting notes in his profile. It's not really a 'creepy' site, but there are lots of ignorant people you wouldn't want him interacting with.

Thanks for the info. It does seem like there should be a better coach paradigm on chess.com. I don't know if they realize how shallow the player pool is for kids as they advance. To give a sense, my son is only 1100 on chesskid and he often gets matched with kids 200 points off in either direction. On chess.com he gets games that are much better matched to his level (1150 rating or so) with tons of players available all the time.

Blastforme great point. He often says hi to people when playing them or uses emojis and they are usually nice but some are pretty rude. They probably would be more restrained if they knew he was 6 but there is no way to police that.
