I am around 1500 in rapid and I try to get the rating up to around 1700. I play in rapid tournaments and mostly I get around 5.5 to 7 out of 7 against people my age and skill. No matter how hard I try, it won’t go up. Any suggestions please?

Key to improve is to analyse your lost games and learn from your mistakes,
so as to avoid them in the future and exploit similar mistakes by your future opponents.

Whenever you lose a game, stop playing and analyse it first, while the imprint is fresh.
This will stop tilt.
It channels the negative emotions of the loss towards a positive goal: improving.
