1. Got to https://www.matbobula.com and follow his free course in 10 weeks. I str=arted the first week some days ago. In his first lesson he told me that I should do puzzles and other excercises. 2.Analyze every game. the ones you won too.
3. Build an opening repertoire that you understand. I use Chess Openings Wizard from bookup.com. That is software with which you can build a repertoire and drill this repertoire. After a game I check if I played the correct moves according to my own repertoire and when my opponent played a move that is not in my repertoire I strat the engne to find the move that I should have plaeyd and enter this move to my opening book.
4. This is not about moves but about psychology: Sometimes I am not in the right shape for chess. My method to avoid a long streak of lost games is that I stop playing rated games after 1 loss. After that I play unrated games and I like them too.
