I think im improving in rating by making less blunders since i started playing a couple of weeks back..
But i feel most of my games are decided by either blunders or some opening mistakes by enemy especially in kings pawn opening.
Some players i play with say they try something new every game, but i usually just go with Kings pawn opening pretty much every game.
So, what is the mindset i need to have to make maximum use out of each game? Should i play gambits to put pressure on myself to make accurate play?
What should i try to learn from every game and how to improve after every game.
What should i be thinking/trying other than trying to defeat the opponent in the easiest way possible..
I do watch chess videos every now and then but i dont really change my playstyle, basically i dont know "how to play the game" in order to improve, all i do is try to win, which is okay but isnt optimal.
Like how would grandmaster's play when theyre practising as opposed to playing in a tournament
What should be the aim for me in every game so i feel i make noticeable "actual" improvement in every game
Seven months ago you came here with a plan to make GM and said you were willing to study 2 hours a day for the next 7 to 10 years.
Many people made helpful suggestions.
I take it you haven't actually started that plan yet. Or maybe you started but you didn't keep to it very long. Out of the 180+ days since then, how many days did you keep to that 2 hours a day plan?
