I've seen Hikaru play blindfold on his stream. he simply sees a blank board with the starting and end square of the last move highlighted. something like that would be cool.

Thank you @jjacksonIV. But this is not a fully blindfold chess, since you see the board, colors, diagonals... It helps a lot to see the board. Anyways, do you have a link so that I can see exactly which app was he using ?
@vsambor he was playing on chess.com. It seems they hed developed it specifically for his stream.

Anyone can do it, you just select the blindfold piece set to hide them.

Very cool app - I really like it. If you seek for some improvements, you can:
Improve UX design - for example, I was not sure how to insert answer for the first time. After correct move is clicked, it might get recognised automatically (without clicking check button). Also the written solution could obey standard pgn notation, so 1.[Qxh7, Kh7] 2.[Rh3#] could look like 1. Qxh7 Kh7 2. Rh3#
Reset green selection on buttons when move is recognised.
As feature, you might add Show board and pawns - seeing pawn structure might be very helpful if you starting with blindfold chess.

I like it. I have a suggestion. In the main page the player can choose between random and rated. I think it could be nice a third mode with the puzzles classified in levels of difficulty. From very easy to really hard increasing the number of pieces on the board in each level. So that the player can choose the level of the puzzles he will solve.

I have created a mobile (android) application for training BLINDFOLD CHESS.

I just deployed it and I don't know what would be the most needed features to have in this type of applications:
Curently It has:
- More than 1000 puzzles, (mate in 1, 2, 3 and 4)
- The position is displayed as text
- Hints like: show board, show board and pieces
- Simple local rating system
- 2 Modes ( training and rated)
I am thinking to add the following features:
- Studies (without necessarily mate in few moves)
- Implement audio to hear the position
- Add notion of time (how long it takes to solve the puzzle)
