I think it all depends on your parents. If they support you, then I would say that try to target 80% marks and study according to it and use the rest time for chess.

You already have some physical problems so it's very important that you don't lose hope, stay strong and do what you like. I am also a student and what I do is i rarely touch chess books (maybe once a week) but try to play everyday to keep me in touch with chess.

😂😂😂 i am the topper of my class in 7th grade was A+ which means above 90 percent and i should Target 80 . My 8th grade teacher said to my mom she stays top in class she is really good at studies bro i am not intellectually disabled

Most people misunderstand this

Allocate specific time slots for both studying and playing chess. For example, you can study for a couple of hours after school and then spend some time on chess.

Obviously focus on academics and do chess as a leisure activity. You will have to realise even titled players struggle to make ends meet, unless they are the top 20 famous super GM squad and can charge on name alone.

You will do much better in life with stronger academics.

I'm in 8th grade and managing them both is not that hard. What is your goal in chess (eg - reach 1600 rating, become a NM, etc), because the time you are supposed to allocate for chess depends on that.

How about you don't disrespect beginners, you were not 1600 the moment you were born, you were at that rating too once.
