Chess has beneficial effects in ADHD. No need to manage anything. Except, be aware you might become too addicted to chess because it reduces ADHD.

No it doesn't reduce ADHD lol

Hi there! What an interesting thread. I have ADHD. On Ritalin when I was a pre teen. I don’t medicate. Ask me a question.

Is possible to concentrate for time with ADHD?

Nope. Chess has positive effects on ADHD symptoms and their severity.

ADHD may indicate a dopamine deficiency or difficulties with processing dopamine in the brain. When you win a game of chess, and outsmart your opponent, your brain releases dopamine which can, over time, signal a desire to play again and again to try to feel this euphoria again.

Can chess permanently cure ADHD?

skyseawind
Yes! ADHD will give you super power focus but only if you are really interested in what it is you are focusing on. Obsessional focus is great but you have to be careful or it will take over. Addiction is one of our traits. Try reading books to relax. So you go to Amazon and research the books that might interest you... 5 hours later you have still not decided. This is the way.

Minimize distractions in your chess environment to help maintain focus during games and study sessions.
