That's a good psychological advice as well

Blunders can be prevented: It can only be minimized.

Bobby fisher disagree

During his match vs Spassky he wanted to boycott the match because of cameras in the hall. As a player who said he does not believe in psychology, I would expect more of him. Fischer was certain a camera was secretly recording him during play and used 35 minutes of his time to have it checked out.  He thought the Russians were using gold teeth also as recording  devices...

I find myself more relaxed when I am losing than when I have a winning position or I see a way to win something concrete

I found out how to stop blunders. I stopped playing, at least for now. The blunders stopped!

By the way, what Fischer was reporting were paranoid delusions. It's a symptom of a psychotic disorder and may be the reason Fischer retired from actively defending his title. He likely did not want to take older generation anti-psychotic medications, if he was diagnosed and it was suggested, because they affected cognitive functioning.

Yeah I agree imsighked2. He was very paranoic.

Nice video. I know I have been guilty of simply swapping pieces when I am a piece up and squandering an advantage.

One should not estimate opponent at all. Not underestimate or overestimate, you should play everyone the same - make best moves possible.

Especially when you have a winning position! Don't get too excited
