All GMs play blitz and bullet. Should you play mostly bullet and blitz? NO!
Also, very few GMs play daily actively, thus NMs are at the best Daily chess players, not GMs.
bruh
you can play blitz and bullet if you want, but never ever try to play blitz or bullet if you want to improve, play them for fun.

it doesn't take a genius to realize your future will be full of selfish tragedies and things worse than death
Nickolay is just constantly taking Ls
Anyway, at that rating range I'd say piece activity is probably what's going to win you the most games. Know where the optimal places for your pieces are (Depending on what openings you play), what they do on those squares, and how to use pawns to activate them.
But other than that just stay principled. Don't waste tempi for no reason, don't castle into an attack, don't push pawns in front of your king etc etc etc
Puzzles should also be a main aspect of your study to improve tactical vision
Don't come tell me to compare my rapid with blitz
I barely play blitz and I can't think under time pressure
My OTB rating is no 1200
#45 I have played only for fun and I have same progress as you. 50 points lower at rapid (easily fixable) and dping better at blitz as compensation. Don't fool yourself.
If thats impressive I guess my 600 - 1700 improvement since february is ultra genius then?
If you are an adult, yes, that really is very impressive. If you're a kid or teenager, it's still very good, but there are (relatively speaking, of course) many others like you.
Yeah, I'm not an adult, however, my point was not to brag about my improvement speed but to say that it is not the most impressive to climb some blitz rating points in 7 months, especially considering that it was not a huge amount. Anyway, I'm planning on becoming a master, so it doesn't matter how fast I can get points on some chess site.
okay, I kind of self-contradicted myself - if you want gambits, don't play the London, gambits are mostly found for White if he plays 1.e4. and the London begins with 1.d4. your choice.
For more about gambits - IM Eric Rosen's videos. he's number one in this.
