How to score well in simul with Garry Kasparov? Have 24 hours to prepare

Hello,

I will be playing chess at a private event with Garry Kasparov tomorrow evening in Vilnius, Lithuania. Format is simultaneous exhibition (simul) so probably ~10-20 amateur players vs. Kasparov.

Need tips on the approach to take...

Goal: remain in the game as long as possible

Initial thoughts:
1. Use an opening to stall and extend the game time (which one)?
2. Guide the game so that Kasparov first eliminates other players in the simul rather than focus on me

Award - Kasparov signed book or chess set for help with my mentorship (subject to me being able to obtain his signature, I am pretty certain it can be done).

Any input would be highly appreciated!

- Gedas

PS Play starts at 5:30pm (London time) Aug 31, 2022. My bullet score at chess.com varies from 1400 to 1750. I have played competitively last time when I was 12.

I played the Sicilian Najdorf against Tal and drew.

Against Kasparov just play whatever you know best. Play actively. If you play passively he'll just beat you by superior technique, without even needing to think.

Given my chess "career" ended at age 12, we only studied classic e2-e4, Queens Gambit and Sicilian and similar/variants of them...

Play actively = not defence? I will try to pick white.

In a simul, you'll automatically get Black.

When I say "Play actively", I just mean don't try to avoid battle. Don't be intimidated by imaginary threats. Put your pieces on active squares and make him THINK in order to beat you... don't let him beat you by technique, without a struggle.
