I notice you have 41 games going at the moment. Good for you! Any chance you are sending out multiple game challenges at a time? Could be the system can only find a few within your preferred range? If you are only sending one at a time, then I have no clue, sorry. 
How to stop getting matched against super lower rated opponents in daily games?
Sort:
You can go to Play - New Game - Open Challenges and PICK who you want to play against.
Go to Custom Game and then you can set the rating range you want to play against.

@TalmacelMarian I always play on iPhone, it may be different on a PC but I assure you the option is there. I select “Play” off the menu, Then “NewGane” button on the bottom, Then I can select from Open Chsllenges, Create Challenge, play the computer, a few other options.

I seem to be able to choose the rating range that I would like for my opponents in live games, but in daily games I keep getting matched against players that are like 100 in rating or 400 or 700...Whats the point in playing this players? The only way my rating can go is down, although is doubtful I'll lose, but whats the point?
