How to stop myself from playing so fast in very long time controls?

I need some help to mentally train myself, i play so fast in long time controls, that i blunder my pieces. Yes i learned basic blunder checks but i cant apply them because i play too fast, its a really bad habit i have. Can people give me tips on how to train myself to lower my pace when playing chess with like 15+ mins on the clock. Thanks

Force yourself to calculate a variation of at least 5 moves on the candidate moves you consider before making your move, you will slow down to think and maybe notice "Hey wait, if I move this piece there it gets taken." and you will calculate something else. I also want to point out that watching a lot fo chess videos online helped me a lot (recaps of GM games) because I noticed in the openings what squares are never moved to because they are usually defended, and I started realizing how the pieces move around the board and attack stuff which helped with the issue of hanging pieces. I then started puzzles which stopped the tactical blunders to an extent, which is how someone at your level should go about reaching the next level. Also avoid just snap taking back stuff, look at the checks and intermetzo moves too. You might uncover a sneaky tactic!

Take a classical game (like a Magnus Carlsen game), cover the next move and try to guess what the GM played. Take at least 30 seconds per guess to develop patience and deep calculation.
