I'm so bad at bullet that i pre-move resignation.
hahaha
Look at all these suggestions. Don’t think. Move first, think after. Only make premoves. Make threats every move. Make short moves.
This is why playing bullet makes you a worse chess player and why beginners should avoid it.
Yeah, you are right, but I made this post in case there is anyone out there who wants to get a high rating in bullet.
like me?
yes
Yeah
Yeah
You got me bro!
Bullet is brainrot but I am the best at it (my bullet rating is 1600 and my blitz and rapid ones are 1150).
1. Play moves that are close to you. It is easier to move quicker when you play moves that are close by. Like the kings Indian defense.
2. Make lots of threats. In bullet, if you want to win on time, drain your opponents clock by making threats that they have to think for.
3. Play in tournaments. In tournaments, you verse all kinds of ratings. For example, in a tournament, I once versed a 2000 rated player in bullet and this is good because you have nothing to lose and everything to win. If you lose the game (assuming you are around 1100), it won't affect you much. But if you win, you will gain lots of rating.
4. When you get flagged (it's when your time runs out by your opponent doing some dirty tricks), take a break. When you are under tilt, your play can get worse.
Well that's it. Hope you make it to 1500!
Bullet chess is actually good for you! Now hear me out, you might be thinking how? So prove why it is bad. Oh, you don't have time to think? Well chess skill is literaly your first reaction and intuition and second of all, we are not Magnus Carlsen. Most of our thoughts are wrong so it is better to wait until it is yoru move and save some energy. Another reason why it is good is that you can play loads of games and get lots of feedback. Learning chess is essntially like any other sport. You practice a lot, learn sometimes and just practice. For example, your not going to watch a 10 hour video on how to play soccer. Maybe learn some tricks you want to learn and go outside and PLAY. That is why bullet is good, you get lots of games and lots of feedback. People think chess is this complicated sport but it is STILL A SPORT. Learning works the same for all. Practice questions in Math make your math stronger. Writing essays makes your writing stronger. Play lots of chess makes your chess better. Now this is really surprising to people and myself when I first learned this and I am experimenting with it. BUt my point is bullet isn't brain rot!
I tease my opponents during bullet games. Works like a charm everytime.
that's not allowed, you can get banned for abuse

Ok, but that really is not good sportmanship.
I used to be good in all time controls. But my pain medication has really effected my chess, I'm down by a darn good 700 points. But opiate use does that. In correspondence I get my knights fudged up. But say 5 or 6 year's ago people that are beating me wouldn't of even been able to touch me, I feel like a old boxer getting back into the ring on most days. Even in bullet I had some strategy I wasn't basically moving pieces around I was pretty sharp. The days will return, hopefully.
