I believe that Magnus Carlsen would beat Beth Harmon in chess and then make love to her. The following scene could happen.

"Your chess is insane." Beth said, as she slipped her feminine hand into Magnus's pants and smirked. "Are you trying to mate me?" protests the World Champion Magnus, as Beth Harmon blushes, the girlish figure undressed before Magnus. "Weak tempo play, Beth." The two kissed, deeply and passionately, and afterwards Magnus places his Rook into her open line.

I would watch that. Then probably shoot myself.

Why would you shoot yourself ?

Wouldn't happen. Magnus Carlsen simply isn't in Beth's league.

I wouldn't be able to bear the shame that I really enjoyed what I just saw.

Oh, that's a battle of the minds that could shake the very foundations of the chess universe! If Magnus Carlsen and Beth Harmon were to face off, the chessboard might spontaneously combust from the sheer intensity. Magnus, the reigning world champion, and Beth, the prodigious fictional genius, would engage in an epic clash that would leave spectators on the edge of their seats.

But let's be honest, Beth has the advantage of being a character from "The Queen's Gambit," where even the ceiling tiles seem to whisper chess secrets into her ears. Magnus would have to bring his A-game, B-game, and maybe even the entire alphabet to stand a chance against her fictional prowess. Who knows, they might end up playing blindfolded while riding unicycles just to level the playing field!

In the end, it's all speculation, but one thing's for sure: If Magnus and Beth ever went head-to-head, it would be the kind of match that chess fans would discuss for centuries.

I personally think that Magnus will win. Beth Harmon is, (sorry to all you Queens Gambit fans) an alcoholic/drug addict. It’s only in a story universe that she beats GMs while drinking and drugging on a daily basis. In our beloved real universe, her spoiled brain neurons would probably make her do a botez gambit in the first 5 moves

The player Walter Tevis chooses will win.
