Human+Computer vs Human+Computer competitions?

With the advancement of technology and things like Smartglasses, I feel it is quite probable and likely that the future of chess (supposing that it doesn't die away) is humans being aided by computers even in real life tournaments?

Or would such a change make draws almost certain and make the game much more boring? What do you guys think? Kasparov said humans+computer is better than mere computers, right?

I don't think moving to computer assisted tournaments is an inevitable or even particularly logical change for chess. Running remained a popular sport even after the invention of bicycles. Just because something can be done better/faster with computer/mechanical assistance doesn't mean everyone loses interest in seeing which people are best at it without those resources.

I do think there's a real possibility it will die away somewhat, especially if computers ever solve the game. But that's still way in the future and I enjoy playing it for now, so I'm not too bothered about that.

If chess does die, it definitely is not going to happen in our lifetime.
