This thread is an extension of a report looking into the abilities of humans to quickly and accurately prune their potential moves list. Here, this will be done by presenting a series of positions played by Stockfish. In each, rather than analyzing the position, use your instincts to quickly try and guess the move.
The point of this is not to train to be better at chess, but rather to prove a point that in most cases, human intuition can use pattern recognition to consider the right move using many less candidate moves than the leading chess engines. As you go, keep track of your total number of attempts.
