Hyper Bullet Rating

I think Chess.con should introduce a separate HB rating.

Anything under 30 seconds shouldn't be bullet in my opinion.

And add a five second game?

I'd like to reintroduce this idea.

I saw Hikaru talking about it in his stream and he too feels frustrated by chess.com's refusal to separate the ratings like they do at Lichess.

I find it rather odd considering it will only drive HB players away from chess.com and onto Lichess or other sites offering the same.

Ultra Bullet = Hyper Bullet.

Same thing, different name.

@erik did say that the staff team is working on making a hyper and classical rating system for chess.com in the future, he stated this way back in 2021 but also said that its super hard to do due to the coding from 2009 which is making it hard for the develops to implement the idea

You're sort of right I guess.

I think the names refer to the same thing but evidently Lichess only considers it to be UB/HB if it's under ¼m.

It actually raises an issue: whenever you berserk a  ½m game you essentially turn it into a  ¼m game but that reflects in your B rating, not your UB rating.

Of course, you have people like Orange_Ghost who berserk even UB, thus turning it into a HUB! ;-)

Anyway, jokes aside, the bottom line is I just don't think anything under 1m should be considered Bullet and Hikaru feels the same.
