I am 2200 above in 30 min rapid. What will be my fide rating?

Can i become FM, IM or GM.

You played only 6 game of rapid. Play all time controls, more games, then we are able to have a guess on your capabilities.

Ok

@goldenbeer, I checked you and i both have similar rapid rating but you lost to an NM in rapid game recently. So, is it you are certainly less skilled than an NM. But are you  certainly above 2000 fide

Hi @IswarPrasadDeuri I have to agree with @goldenbeer in saying that you will need to play more games. In my personal opinion I think that one needs to play 50-75 rated Rapid games to have a solid and reliable rating on the site. This should be finished in 6 months to a year. The more games you play the better. 6 games is a bit early to truly identify your skills as it could be a series of weak opponents you played against who are having a bad day, or perhaps you are just on a temporary streak of winning.

Once you've played 50-75 rated rapid games, check out this site to get a ROUGH idea of where you stand in FIDE ratings.

Hope this helps and good luck with your chess!

Yeah play more games so we get an idea of your actual rating

@IswarPrasadDeuri, winning one game or losing one game doesn’t say anything about your skills. I also don’t count on rapid rating, it is quite a bit manipulated. I won against GM and IMs and against many FM and CM and NMs in blitz. And I lost to many of them as well. But in average I would say most of NM and CMs are not difficult to beat (of course younger ones are usually underrated).

CM, FM, IM or GM relate to classical time control 90|30.
That requires deeper calculation and insight and also stamina to keep concentrated for hours.
2200 rapid is a good start though.

I think I’m personally much better in longer time controls, since my weakness is in opening and I don’t have enough time to calculate the best move in opening in faster time controls (I’m actually fast in calculation, but in opening it’s just very difficult to check all lines in short time). When I play in person, beating 2000-2200 fide rated players in rapid game is quite easy for me, my chances are like 80-20. But the same players are much tougher in blitz. 2000 fide players are still fairly easy maybe I score 70-30, but 2100+ fide players are really tough and maybe I score 50-50 in blitz.

I think here if you have 2200 rapid (truly) it should be worth 2300 fide, because here rapid pool is infested with a lot of cheaters. I think the link provided above to show the strength might be a bit old, maps 2200 rapid of chess.com to 2200 fide. I believe it is much stronger right now, since the pool is getting tougher and tougher. E.g. my lichess rapid is closer to 2450 (and it only goes up, since I win 80% of my games there), then maps this to 2300 fide.

It is interesting to see that 2200 rapid of chesscom according to the above link is more valuable than 2200 and even 2300 blitz. I had a same feeling.

I think the real problem to improve rating exponentially from this rating is that you have to be extremely lucky even to get a single opponent at my present rating or more at 30 min rapid. You have to be content yourself at playing player around 2000 rapid. And even if you draw one game you lose lots of points. And to win every game is quite a challenge especially with only 30 minutes per side.

@goldenbeer,  thx for the reply.

@IswarPrasadDeuri,

30 min rating is not reliable at all. It’s not clear how big the pool is, it could mean 1500 it could mean 3000, anything could be its translation. Anyways, even with 30 min, you should play enough many games, otherwise it is a fake number.

Play more and talk less !     A good Master player loves playing chess.    It seems you do not !

You can only know your FIDE rating by getting a FIDE rating. Seriously, stop comparing different rating systems

Sometimes it's just about keeping the dream alive.

You need to play over the board if you ever want to become a IM etc.. Online means nothing

I reach 2000 classical rating on lichess. I play there with increment so less stressful of getting timeout. It is for those who says i don't play enough.

How about 10k hours of chopping veggies?  Not on this site but another one.

     You have played far too few games to have an accurate chess.com rating. FIDE otb ratings are very different--here a lot of your opponents are just playing a quick game on their phone during their lunch break or something similar, but paying a tournament entry fee, going to the tournament, and spending two hours or more on a game makes everyone take their play much more seriously.

     The best way to find out your FIDE elo rating is to play a few rated otb tournaments.

Financial_prodigy

Is just hard to find opponents at this level….. Just said that you are a 2200 and 80% of the time you are paired against a <1900. You really should consider the rematch option once you find a 2000 or plus……

mtuborgdk

i think 2200 rapid should be in the range of 1900-2000 fide
