Is there a pill this shirt lifter can take. He obviously hates himself for being as bent as a nine bob note. Meantime if you want a game luv, I'm available (purely for chess) to see if being queer does make a difference to your game.

Are you deliberately trying to promote your image of childish stupidity even further (by not only mindlessly going after my posts due to a frivolous grudge but) by taking a post of a conversation that you had no part in out of context just to get a reaction?

What gets me is that you actually think you're witty, using MorraMeister to help you come back and all. (What gets me even more is that FrenchBasher gives you revelry, probably pretending to agree with your every bit simply because you're an opposition to "gay"; as if you two posting one right after the other just to tell me that I'm wrong actually makes it any more so.)

While you're whining and puffing your 12-year-old chest, bubba, I'm already fancying a game of chess: I'm helping a chess variant artist promote his game by playing the first official one of its type, which I hope to post on youtube someday. Nothing about my homosexuality came up in the process.

In fact, I don't ever recall making my homosexuality a substantial issue here. I think that was all you.

Let me check...

Yep, it was you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the term 'bent' also a bastardisation of English?

You made my morning, Iksarol. haha

Frankly, I don't think I got anything in that simple-minded post either. I very literally stopped reading it after the "self-promotion" portion, because I don't even get where I was doing that.

He was making a really big deal earlier about the semantics between "gay" vs. "queer". I think after I told him off, he decided to use "bent" instead of "queer" or "gay"; just to get a reaction from people.

I used the word bent because homosexuals refer to heterosexuals as "Straight", the opposite of which is bent, but in the final analysys you're probably right. Maybe I should have said unstraight. Another one for the American theasaurus

Language is always changing and it's a social product too, which means nobody 'owns' it as such. I prefer to think of this process as evolution rather than bastardisation (although that occurs as well, I'm sure).

Bent, queer, gay - all of these terms are interchangeable I'd say. "Unstraight" just sounds daft though, doesn't it?

Probably best to avoid terms like shirt-lifter, bender, faggot or poofter though, I mean, we all know what a bigot is, no?

Hetero (one little third of mankind ) prefer bent and straight abaout sexual tendancies, than cannibalize "gay" for "homo"; gay is a marvelous word for happy. Gay paris doesn't mean all Parisians are queers bent, anything  but Happy life in the happiest city in the world for everybody. To visit it is a must for beautiful people.

I can only agree, Paris in Spring is amazing. Wouldn't want to live there though - I've had it with cities (I'm a Londoner).

Ty I love London of course , my daughter lives there works there, and enjoy "atmosphere" , one third of Mrs Marpple, one third of City business climate, and one third of world citizens from everywhere + ....PARKS and Gardens and still funcioning aristocracy, traditions, specificity, atmosphere.

We would say "gay Paris" and"so british London".Embarassed.

May i suggest to visit "Paris au mois d'Août" ?

empty streets, no traffic jams, and plenty of charming tourists from everywhere, no one grincheux angry frenchie in the capital, holidays for 9/10 of workers.Embarassed

Ghostliner, I want to let you know that he already knows this. He deliberately uses them to get a response.

Right as you are.

Little bit of hypocracy going on here Ghostie. If you are trying to make me out as a bigot, a simple message saying I was a bigot would surely have been sufficient , there was no need to use all the slang words for homosexuals, some even I haven't used.

In otherwords, he's a hypocritical bigot because, in his pointing out your bigoted behaviour through terminology usage (that you indirectly admitted in your post you ought not to use), the fact is that you weren't using all the ones on his list, and his bringing those ones up makes him a likewise bigot? Your logicale seems more befitting an 11-year-old playground mate who not only is still learning what hyporcrisy means but creates no depth in the hind-sighted thoughts he instantly brews as cushy half-recourses.

By the way, he didn't actually use them as you did: you were referring directly to homosexual people with those terms, while he was merely bringing them up for the purpose of making a point about your using them.

The fact is I'm not a bigot. As I've said several times previously I couldn't give a toss what homosexuals get up to or any other pressure group for that matter. My beef is the way they keep shoving it down peoples throats and looking for approval for their lifestyle.

If you don't realize by now that bigoted behavior is found in

1 - The very fact that you went out of your way to point out people's merely talking about homosexuality as If it were some form of in-your-face demand for approval

2 - People in society using the very same 'shove down throat' cliche when it comes to anything new and unfamiliar (Black people marrying Caucasians, women working in high positions in the workforce, etc.)

3 - Your very use of profanity that you in fact know "pushes the boundaries a little"

Then I really don't know if its productive to remind you of just how blindly juvenile your prejudicial behavior really is.

Who gives a damn if your playing chess with someone thousands of miles away what their petty little foibles are.  The fact that I used "queer" is as far as I'm concerned no big deal.

I think you already know that "queer" was (and still sometimes is) used not to portray homosexual people in a positive light but, rather, to incite ugly, even if it doesn't always involve phsyical violence.

Many homosexuals refer to themselves as queer old queens.

I think you already know that referring to black people by the n-word, simply because they call themselves it as a form of empowerment for them, will get you into trouble.

Shirtlifter was probably pushing the boundaries a bit but as GN18 says it got a reaction.

Yeah, MackyTom. You were doing it for the thrill of getting reactions; again, something which 11-year-olds do.

As far as I'm concerned if they want to be accepted as part of normal society fine but normal society doesn't go around advertising it's personal antics at every opportunity.

Ah, see? There we show your bigotry. Antics, is it?

Oh, but hey. You're the pleasantly kind Samaritan who would allow antic people to "live their lifestyle" so long as they don't shove it down throats, right?

.....

Sparky, they obviously wouldn't be "accepted as a part of normal society" if people like you refer to them as antics.

As for G18. Get a life

Pffff. And you were all about Gostliner being a hypocrite...

By the way, before I typed this post, I already knew that you weren't going to read everything, if anything, that I say. That's totally fine. Other people are reading everything and realizing what a brat you are.
