Having a high IQ and not bragging about it is even harder to achieve.

If you have a high IQ you are maybe insane !? wink

No, but you can get depressed or feel like an outcast pretty easily due to your attention to small details. In addition to this, it can also be everyone else’s lack of information storage. It saying they’re dumb or anything like that. People with above average IQ’s usually comprehend complex topics and ideas and can enjoy meaningful conversations, not small talk. This being said, we use any information to keep a conversation going, and if we don’t have any more knowledge, we turn to questions, meaning we ask questions to further see if any additional information can be added to the other persons answer that can further carry out the conversation. Now with all of this in mind, not a lot of people are like this. Like clearly not everyone is like me and can respond to a question or response with a whole paragraph, not calling you dumb btw. So that’s why we feel like outcasts sometimes because we have no one else to talk to about things we find interesting or interestingly complex. Does that make sense?

Anyone who brags about IQ isnt as smart as they think

I've found it's sometimes hard not to talk about IQ in a world where if someone disagrees with you over the exact number of grains of sand on a beach on an unknown distant planet, they call you names meaning you're thick.

Regarding small details, there's a time and place for everything! happy.png

Hot take, High IQ doesnt equal smartness, ive met people with 120 IQ who couldnt answer the most basic questions, and people with 80 who beat people with 120. The measurement of IQ is so subjective, e.g. if an IQ test revolves a lot around mathematical topics, i normally do insanely well, if its literatur (like what is the word NGLEADN, Country river city or ocean) ill do insanely bad, IQ is subjective and doesnt equal smartness.

120 isn't high though and they maybe did an online test.

How did this go from a post about a pawn cube to an argument about people's IQ!?

If you look at IQ test questions, they're puzzles of various types which you have to solve in a time limit. Can't imagine what else it relates to other than smartness. "What word can you make out of these letters" is culture specific, though.

Fun Pawn Cube Fact:

This position in the Sosonko variation of the Benko Gambit is assessed as completely equal by Stockfish, even though Black is a piece down. His Pawn Cube offers full compensation for the sacrificed piece!

Do you believe stockfish? If so, why?

Its a small example to showcase the bigger picture

I want trying to brag about my IQ. I’m sorry if it came off that way. I was just simply answering the question, but before answering, supplying the person asking with not factual, but alleged evidence that I know what I’m talking about due to my higher IQ. My apologies if it came off off as bragging. That’s not what I meant at all

I would believe that the position is dynamically equal, yes.

White has an extra piece, but has almost no squares for his pieces. If White doesn't want to sacrifice something back - in that game he gave back two pieces for a Rook - then he must retreat the Knight, congesting his position even further.

Black, meanwhile, has good squares for his pieces and a choice of plans.

These puzzles are very subjective, human minds are very intricate and complex, some are better at X and others better at Y, and IQ tests try to determine the smartness of minds, and because IQ tests are broad, and if a math mastermind does an IQ test were 10% of the questions are related to psychology, i dont think he will get any of these questions right. My point is IQ is not always equal to smartness, You are not your IQ
