Driving to San Diego from Northern California !
A weeks vaction time, with son's family.
I hope you lose the ant on the way.
I have nine version of the the ant. Also many other little critters and they deliver different messages.
Oh boy. I found the "WITHDRAW" button on the tournament I was is. That eliminated a lot of games.
I was going to get help from chess.com and lo and behold, the first FAQ was "How do I withdraw from a tournament?" They told me where the button was.
So all of you, Look for the button on the right side.
I only have eight games left now, which is reasonable.
I came back from San Diego. It was bad weather down there. Rainy, cold, overcast, freezing I thought it would be sunny.
The food was so great and I learned some new to me cooking methods. Well, just different this to add to dishes to make them delicious.
I could have stayed longer, but I had to come back as I had to bowl today, Wednesday.
Taking a vacation and visiting my family was great for the mind. I learned how to use my new KINDLE!!!!!!! I now will be able to post a short story books that I am writing.
Bye for now.
Thanks for all your reading and input.
Ugh,what a stupid forum,if you hate chess so much why do you play?!
Then you should not have read it.
I don't hate chess. I got overwelmed with it. It kept growning with more games and It was taking over my life. I now only have eight game no tournaments.
I am going to start a Kids Chess Club at a local school as an after school program.
I thought you already knew how to withdraw from tournaments. Of course that means you resigned, which I thought you didn't want to do.

I started playing chess here on May 14, 2012. I played just team matches where only two games were played. Then I join more teams and several tournaments. I was burned out.
I asked a tournament director if he could withdraw me. He said he couldn't do that, he didn't tell me about the withdraw button.
Resigning each game wasn't quick because for each player had another game to play you. Also in a tournament I could move to another squad and play another round.
Live and learn.

Just quit whining about it like a big fat sissy.
If you ever offer coaching services Estragon, I will be the first to sign up!
SIR, YES SIR!
I joined a tournament recently with 14 days/move. I don't think you will get tired with this set-up try to join team matches with longer days per move rather than the standard 3 days/move. Most of my games are at 5 days/move so that if I'm busy I can still make a move after 3 days and not lose thru time forfeit.
Mine waited.
