I can't mess around with possible future moves on daily chess games anymore

I've been enjoying the feature on here where I can move both players pieces around to help visualize what might happen in future moves, then when I'm ready to move I reload the page and submit my move.
Today its not working though, after I make a move if I try to move the other players piece it resets the position. Any help? thanks.
