I wanna get better though
could you coach me if you decide to play for fun or not?
You don't want a weak player like me coaching you.
Umm maybe put should try to improve and enjoy it besides if it's a 1000 coaching a 200 that's not that bad comparatively
You'll get more meaningful responses if you list the steps you've taken already to try to improve your game.
Practice everyday with actual matches, I study games, and generally study loses as well as wins, but generally loses are looked at more. I play around a hr a day on average.
There is no reason not to play OTB tournament. It is actually the best way to improve. And yes, you definitely should play for fun.
I get incredibly angry at myself when I play poorly. I know we all lose, but it burns when you blunder your own queen etc. Yes I will try to concentrate on the fun. I'm never going to be magnus afterall.
Before you get good at blitz, get strong in 30+0 or 15|10.
A few lessons with a stronger player can help you fix your most urgent issues. Some weaknesses are easier to fix than you think—with the guiding hand of an experienced coach.

I just can't seem to improve my game enough to ever play otb in a tournament which was my goal. Is my play simply to weak to ever hope for?
Your play is not weak! You are 1000 rating, which is very good! Already you know much about the game! Remember, hitting 1000 is a goal that many players have, and you have already achieved this!
I don't mind playing for just fun and that has its merits. How strong should you be able to play before attempting a tournament?
You can play an OTB tournament at whatever rating! Just continue playing, and over time you will improve dramatically! You can even take a break if you need to! Personally, it took me many years to improve (I'm not the quickest learner)! Now you see 12-year-olds becoming grandmasters!
