Have you studied any openings? Proper study of an opening includes the positional themes and middlegame plans that follow from the opening. If you don’t know or can’t remember these positional ideas, then you haven’t really “studied.”
Rueben Fine wrote a book way back when called (something like) The Ideas Behind the Chess Openings. You may need to go back to something like that.
Oh wait I see OP. You don’t play rapid. Rapid is the key to improving and it’s easier to remember stuff because u won’t get into time pressure. My suggestion is to play one rapid game a day and analyze it to see where u could’ve done better.
