I've done that before too (lots of times actually). Sometimes, I'll attempt solo chess in blitz-fashion where I move very quickly: makes it somewhat more challenging. Other times, I'll practice my calculation ability and try to solve the position without moving any pieces: only then begin moving them in my planned sequence. 

Of course, none of these are like the crazy challenge mode happy.png

Related note: has anyone been able to play that mode lately? I hope chess.com didn't take it out - playing solo chess with a board full of circa 20 pieces was more fun. grin.png
