Then it's a good thing you're not a computer!
i completely suck at computer chess
tried slowing myself down, i still don't see the really obvious bishop right there. maybe it's because of the board? i tried a 3d version to give proper depth to the board but that was no better. maybe it's because a game doesn't matter because i can start a new one immediately? hmm i might have to go with longislandmark's suggestion number 3, though i'm a little concerned about doing exactly the same and waste other people's time, can't upset a computer! have a 1 year old at home too so i could end up having to leave the game and i doubt many people would appreciate that.

Yes, a lot of people have trouble going from OTB to screen, but it goes away after a while. There is always somebody worse than you!

How can there always be someone worse than someone else unless it's circular?
i've tried playing computer chess before, and it went very badly, and the same deal when i play here on the java game. i just make blunder after blunder, leaving pieces where they can be captured without response, mistakes i would never make when playing against a human on a physical board.
anyone else ever have this problem? how did you get around it? i enjoy chess but only know 1 other person who plays it.
