I Created A Program That Predicts League Events

Eventually, all the people playing leagues will eventually reach Legend league, and there will be no more competition and no more people in the lower leagues. Assuming that most or all of the people that actively use chess.com are in leagues already, I coded a program that predicts when everyone will reach legend, and also when each league will be completely empty. As of today (1/27/2022), at 9:28 EST, the program predicts that in approximately 793 weeks, everyone will be in the legend league.

Yeah, that is a factor I can't really control. Someone suggested to me to find some way to connect my program with chess.com itself, so it can update accordingly, but the way it is now is satisfactory for my goals.

With how many new accounts are created and with people leaving too, the bottom leagues are probably in no danger of ever running out of players. The top leagues have such a low promotion rate, that the leagues below Legend will likely have plenty of members in them for a long time as well.

New accounts always will be watched and there is no problem because new accounts should start from bronz and need to play tons of games to grind points if they were engine player they will be noticed because they play lots of games which is easy to recognize a engine player

I am curious to learn the problem that you are attempting to solve for with this program? Ie why bother?

interesting

real life is much more important, many of them will stop trying.. and between this year to 16 years ahead, chess.com will release many other brand new interesting stuff to try, or else it will no longer exist, and folks will be bored

@Traderdc I was just interested about it when I was theorizing about the possible end of leagues

nice

When will, let's say 75% of people be in top 2 leagues? When 50% or 25% be in top 1 league?

I guess that will happen much earlier
