Agreed. I used to be able to do the same attack and mate multiple times, since it would play the same moves each time.

Yeah it was Rad1. my mistake. but it doesn't really matter that much. Thank you bird :) chessfreak: my first two attempts at beating it, first of which only lasted 29 moves and my loss, second of which lasted 46 moves and another loss, says something else entirely. and the fact that i'd never been able to beat it in previous attempts. not that it isn't strong or weak. i just played all the right moves and the computer played the wrong moves. It lost on 11... Qe8, shutting its king in so it had no escape.

Dude, his rating is 1086. This means he is improving. Cut him some slack. I guess when you beat a 2000, we can chalk it up to that he was having an off day, rather than you actually playing better than before?

For his rating, this is an accomplishment. I remember how proud I was to finally beat the 1000 ELO on CM8000.
