part of the reason is to prevent the ability to cheat it.
if I have to use the same hand to move and push the button, it's impossible to get away with pushing the button before I've moved the piece.
i dont get the clock rules

i think its kind of stupid that you have to use the hand your moving the pieces with... why do you have to hit the clock with the same hand....
