The Fried Liver isn't a good opening, even I know that, but no one can defend against it in U1200-land
I find 'win quick' gambits disgusting

You must be kidding... EVEN THE Engine gives white the advantage, allowing it is a mistake, but the thing is if white plays Na5 it is easy to play as black

No one can defend against it Grandmaster Land, they always avoid it

Yes, Spanish is more Solid, because they like to play solidly, often in the queen's gambit declined, or in the Spanish, black will play to get a firm position, in the Fried LIver this is completely crazy and most grandmasters dont like that, except for Shirov and a few others

Dude, I watched one of Shirov's games. He became one of my favorites right from here. Forgot the game, but in the end, I think Topalov was up a Kingside pawn. They both had a Bishop, and SHIROV FREAKING FORCE-SACKED IT. OMG. BIG BRAIN TIME!!!

srsly tho, its freaking brilliant. Even Tal would be proud. I'm just watching the vid with the biggest open-mouth in my life, thinking OMFG OMFG OMFG! THIS GUY IS INSANE!!!

if white plays Na5
are you intoxicated by any chance
The reasons I play Gambits and sacs, like the Fried Liver, is because it is psychologically aggressive. It intimidates your opponents, so they play more defensive moves. The moves that look defensive, are often most studied, so you can easily beat their defenses
After encountering it a few times, the Fried Liver really isn't intimidating at all. In fact I often play 3. Nf6 to deliberately provoke it. That's the issue: if you continue to find the FL attack effective, it probably means that you aren't actually making any progress yourself in Chess.
Shut up
