My comment was for the original poster who was talking about an online game.  It is a little easier to tell in person but online usernames don't always reflect true gender identity.  In the context of playing a chess game it doesn't really matter what the gender of your opponent is.  I have seen that checkmate a few times, fortunately not inflicted on me.  Maybe I was in the hall as I was pretty active back then.  Which city was it played in?

Maybe you could start stalking her and cause a "forced move". Later on after checking the hell out of her it will ultimately lead to "mating" her,  where you'll no doubt be showing her a few  "moves" of your own that you've learned along the way. Don't forget to complement her by saying "good game" before you leave, even if she wasn't......You might want to "mate' with her again someday if there's no one else around.
