I had more fun playing casually

so basically the title. for the last 2 or so months i been studying hard and doing tactics everyday. we are talking 2 hours a day. I've gotten burnt out. it's like I've lost my passion for the game I once loved. then I realized, the lifestyle of studying so much isn't for me. I have no allusion of ever being a GM. I just want to get better and have a significant edge against other casuals. my goal was never to be magnus, my goal was to be able to defeat casuals 90% of the time. can I do that without burning myself out? I miss playing when it was a joy to me back when i was just a casual player, back then chess was a joy, now it feels like a daily chore. I want to get my joy back for the game. anyone ever go through something like this?

bro your aren't even a casual, casuals usually hang around 600 to 1000 elo, at 200 elo you should just be enjoying the game and trying to get a good intuition for further understanding, so for now don't worry about studying hours on end

Try doing more Daily games if you want to get better. It gives you time to process the things you've been learning and practice without time pressure. Also for tactics don't do complex sequences, just focus on 1-2 move skewers, pins and forks and do a lot of those simple things first.
