You can fix all those things:
1. Uncheck the TALK box and Fritz won't say anything with any accent
2. In the options you can turn off the ticking clock
3. There is an option to prevent Fritz from resigning in losing positions

So...name says it. I don't mind the Fritz engine (any of them in the past ten years). I have Stockfish, and I paid for Hiarcs at one point, and Houdini, and Komodo, and I believe LC0 is now available for free too. I'm in no way strong enough to need all or any of them, but I don't mind spending money (what's it for anyway?).
The thing is, I hate the Fritz interface with it's annoying joke of a German accent, annoying smiling face, annoying ticking sound effects, the way it wants to be my "friend," the way it resigns losing positions when I want to drill against them...and almost everything about it.
I don't need a new engine. I need a new interface.
Any ideas? Thanks!
